The flash video

I used 9 pictures to make a flash video which plays continuously, the flash video on the banner is like a small introduction on what the island offers, starting from white long sandy beaches to exotic cuisine.

Below is a brief demonstration of snap shots on how i used flash and a sample of how the website banner will look like.

CREATING THE WEBSITE

I first  started  by creating two folders inside a folder called Gemia island, the second folder i called id html then the third one i called images. From there i open Adobe dreamweaver and clicked on site, then create new site.

I clicked on Gemia island folder, far bottom right the then create new file, then i named it Home.html,i continue with remaining 6,these are going to be used as the navigation tools on the website.

I clicked on insert, table, chose a table with a single row and column

I wrote the banner, which is Gemia Island

I inserted another table with a single row and column to write the navigation tools in.

Here are the codes to the website

I inserted a picture from the images folder which is on the lower right side,i just open the folder and dragged the picture into another single row and column table.
Its a picture of Gemia island beach

I then resized it to fit perfectly.

Then it was time to start linking the navigation tools, highlighted home, html, dragged the link button to index, the i did the same with accommodation, highlight it,then drag the linking button to accommodation.html and so on with things to do,contact us........

we inserted template objects then editable regions to know where we can edit and where we can not. We saved them as the main template.its time time to start doing some editing on the navigation controls e.g accommodation, add information on accommodation under the accommodation navigation tool, then contact info under contact us and so on...

and this is as far as we went for now

EDITING SOME OF THE PICTURES TO BE USED IN THE WEBSITE

The Beach Picture

I changed the beach picture to give it a more rich deep color of an island surrounded by hills or peaks. The skies and the water have a deep blue color and the trees on the peaks next to the beaches are all green.

In the picture before I made all the changes, the leaves of some trees were brown so I changed them to look more green and lively. The snap shots will give a more detailed change made to the picture and the tools used to come to this transformation.

1) original picture which is bright, will brown leaves on trees.

2) chose the styles tool and layer style.

3) changed the brightness of the picture to make it more darker

The Pool Picture

I removed the pool wall to give the pool more of a long length,i also made the picture darker to make the buildings look new as if they have recently been painted. The stones decorating around the pool and the buildings are attractive and have a natural color.

The snap shots below will show the differences in the two pictures and the photo shop tools used to come to these.

1)Untouched picture

2) changed the the layer to saturated to make it darker

3) i chose the clone stamp tool to remove the pool wall

4) Removing the pool wall to make the pool have a great length
